Tahini Street Food + Finjan Coffee Co. Are Coming to Mission Valley!

If you’ve driven through Hazard Center lately, you’ve probably noticed a new restaurant where Fig Tree Café used to be. The space at 7710 Hazard Center Dr, Suite D has turned into a double delight, the new home of Tahini Street Food and Finjan Coffee Co.

This is Tahini’s third location in San Diego and Finjan’s second, bringing some seriously crave-worthy Middle Eastern eats and drinks right into the heart of Mission Valley.

Meet Tahini Street Food

Tahini has made a name for itself around San Diego with its fresh, flavorful, and fully customizable Middle Eastern street food. Think build-your-own bowls, warm pita wraps, crispy falafel, juicy shawarma, and plenty of creamy house-made tahini sauce (of course).

Some of their fan favorites include:

  • The OG Pita – Steak shawarma, pickled cucumbers, parsley, tomatoes, and that signature tahini drizzle.
  • The Esquire Pita – Chicken shawarma with fries inside the pita. Yes, you read that right.
  • The M.T.W. – A vegetarian favorite packed with falafel, hummus, greens, and pickled veggies.

They also serve addictive sides like za’atar pita chips, halloumi fries, and loaded hummus bowls. Everything’s made to order, super fresh, and perfect whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down for dinner with friends.

Say Hello to Finjan Coffee Co.

Right alongside Tahini, you’ll find Finjan Coffee Co., their sister concept specializing in coffee and Middle Eastern desserts. If you’re a coffee lover, this might just become your new favorite hangout.

Finjan serves up everything from traditional Arabic and Turkish coffee (brewed in hot sand!) to modern espresso drinks, like honey-cinnamon lattes and sparkling orange espresso.

Pair that with something sweet like baklava or knafeh (a gooey, cheese-filled dessert with syrup and pistachios), and you’ve got the perfect afternoon combo. It’s the kind of spot you’ll want to linger, sip, snack, chat, and soak in the cozy, aromatic vibes.

Why Mission Valley’s Excited

This location makes so much sense — Hazard Center is easy to get to, with plenty of parking and a mix of shops, gyms, and movie theaters nearby. It’s the perfect in-between for a post-work bite, a pre-movie coffee, or a casual weekend meetup.

And the dual concept is genius: grab a shawarma wrap or falafel bowl at Tahini, then head next door for a traditional coffee and dessert at Finjan. Mediterranean comfort food meets café culture, all in one stop.
