Sundown Sunday Summer Concert Lineup

The popular Sundown Sunday concert series at Civita kicks off on June 9! These free summer concerts are held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the outdoor amphitheater in Civita Park, located at the intersection of Civita Boulevard and Russell Park Way in Mission Valley. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, beach chairs, and picnics. For convenience, take-out meals can be picked up across the street at Poki Bowl and El Tianguis, or from a variety of food trucks.

June 9: BetaMaxx

This high-energy 1980s dance band delivers a non-stop, nostalgia-filled rock concert, featuring hits from Michael Jackson, Madonna, New Order, Bon Jovi, Depeche Mode, and more. They are sure to keep the dance floor packed!

July 7: Republic of Music

Known as the ultimate cover band, they perform megahits from a wide range of musical styles, specializing in creating a fun and memorable atmosphere. With a repertoire of 600 songs, they are renowned throughout Southern California for their raw, emotive energy.

August 11: Mighty Untouchables

This popular multicultural mix of musicians and singers entertains audiences worldwide, delivering everything from Motown and classic rock to Latin, country, and current pop hits. Their setlist includes songs by Lizzo, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran, Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson, Prince, Toto, David Bowie, The Temptations, Journey, and more. With over 10 years together, the Mighty Untouchables have perfected a show that combines a feverish dance party with a stunning concert experience.

September 8: Kicks Band

Kicks is a variety dance band whose musical repertoire spans six decades. They started out performing full-time in clubs throughout Southern California and later branched into the Las Vegas casino and corporate circuits, playing for some of the largest companies in the world. Their performances include everything from current hits to swing standards, including jazz, Latin, and country.

Civita Park, a 14-acre park and the social and civic heart of Civita, is part of a 230-acre master-planned community being developed on a former rock quarry site in Mission Valley. The multi-level public park features active play areas, civic event spaces, gardens, stylish group seating, a community garden, a dog park, outdoor game areas, a military tribute, and an interactive splash fountain.
