2 apples diced
3 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp bourbon
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 tsp orange peel
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp clove
1 pinch of salt
- Begin heating your pan over medium heat. Dice apples into cubes and set aside.
- Place butter into the pan and once melted add the apples. Sauté until the apples become slightly softer.
- Add the maple syrup, brown sugar, vanilla extract, orange peel, clove, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Carefully add the bourbon and tilt the pan to ignite the bourbon, let cook until the fire burns itself out. Do not pour the bourbon into the skillet from the bottle.
- Grab your favorite scoop of vanilla ice cream and spoon apples over top. These are also a great addition to your overnight oats or eating them alone as a snack.
